Increased Demand for Window Security Grilles During Uncertain Times in 2020

Looking back at 2020, we cannot help but reflect on how far we have come. Despite all the difficulties of the global pandemic this year, we are very proud that we not only managed to stay in business with our custom fit security grilles – unlike a many other small businesses – but this year has turned out to be a very busy year for us indeed. December especially – as we have touched upon in our previous blog article – is always a busy month for us manufacturing window security grilles, due to the longer, darker nights, and people leaving their homes for longer family visits. We are glad we have managed to help secure many family homes and commercial sites in these troubled times too.

With the recent increase in crime rates – as one unfortunate consequence of uncertainty caused by the pandemic – one very useful tool that we can highly recommend to anyone, is the Crime Checker application on our website ! As we have highlighted recently, it is ever more important to always remain vigilant, to make it a habit of being aware of our everyday environment, whilst also taking pro-active steps to keep our immediate environment secure.

With such busy months behind us therefore, we feel very fortunate we not only can continue to support our communities, with useful tips, and security grilles, but in fact we have many more exciting plans for 2021! The whole process of measuring/ordering the shutters through to getting them fitted was made very easy by the great staff, the process was quick with no hassle, the fitting was done with the least amount of disruption. The security grilles are really lovely. They look just as I had hoped. I put them up myself instead of paying someone else to do it. I would advise to read all the instructions first and even message Gary to check you’ve understood correctly before starting. I bought these because we have a flat roof outside our bedroom windows so we can have the windows open at night and still feel safe.

I'm very happy with my security grilles. They are very easy to operate and don't disturb the appearance of my bedroom as they are matching with the window colour. Communication with the seller was excellent and delivery was fast once I've paid. The gentleman who delivered was commutated with me, giving me approximate time of the delivery so that I can make arrangements.I highly recommend this company as they proved as very high standard.

Having recently moved into a bungalow, as a lone female I was nervous about my personal safety due to there being multiple points of entry into my home. After a lot of consideration I decided to look into having security grilles put on my windows, patio and back door. I came across Safeguard Security after a thorough online search and spoke with Gary who answered my many questions (on the phone and via email) with a great deal of professionalism and patience. I carefully took all measurements so that Gary could send me a quote, then once I decided to have Safeguard Security install all grilles we arranged for a surveyor to come to my home in South Wales where measurements were confirmed and I was able to ask further questions about fitting/locks etc with the surveyor as we both stood in front of windows/doors that I had concerns about. It was very useful to be able to see a sample of the grilles and locks, together with the two different types of lower tracks as it makes decisions much easier when you can physically see and touch the demonstration models rather than rely on website photos. I was very happy to be dealing directly with the grille manufacturers, and that the person who came out to do the survey (Michael) would also be installing all the grilles, so we were both able to take notes and have frank discussions with no fear of anything being lost in translation if the job was to have been handed over to someone else to install. That totally put my mind at ease because Michael was incredibly knowledgeable and efficient and I just knew instinctively that everything was going to be OK if left in his capable hands and I would not be let down with over-promising-and-under-delivering. I paid the deposit the next day and the manufacturing of the grilles took just a few weeks and were then ready for installation. The entire process was so simple and straightforward, with no hiccups along the way. Michael and Leigh came to install and it was a pleasure to watch them get on with the job with no fuss or bother, both very polite and respectful of my home, happy to have me watch and ask questions about the installation process. In no time at all they had the job finished and everything cleared away, the place was left as clean as when they arrived. Michael even took the time to fix an outdoor security light that had come loose from the wall fitting in my garden, which was very kind of him. I didn’t ask him to do it, he just offered when he saw it dangling from the wall!! They are both an asset to the company and a thorough joy to be around, as was Gary on the end of the phone, always there to answer questions, no matter how many were asked!!I was fortunate that I could afford to have Safeguard Security install all the grilles for me but I know others may choose to save money by installing themselves. However, I would seriously suggest that if possible budget for the installation so you know they are being fitted correctly. No-one knows the grilles better than the manufacturers, so for peace of mind and the 5 year guarantee which comes with the installation, to me it was worth the extra cost. Michael and Leigh were like a well-oiled machine; they had the grilles in place and in perfect working order in no time at all because they do it day-in-day-out and know all the pitfalls and how to deal with them efficiently and effectively without compromising the mechanisms of the grilles, so for a stress-free and quick installation it’s worth considering unless you are a competent and confident DIYer.I’ve had a few very bad experiences with tradesmen in recent months, from being totally fraudulent and incompetent to not bothering to turn up to do jobs they’ve been booked for or at least doing what they promised to do. Safeguard Security have restored my faith that there ARE professional people out there who care about offering a quality product and fantastic customer service. I would not hesitate in recommending Safeguard Security should anyone reading this review be considering them for their own needs.

Having Safeguard Security to install the security grills of my house is the best choice I have ever had.I am so happy to be one of the thousands satisfied customers. It only takes around three week from the survey to the actual grills installation project. The whole team is really professional and efficient.The measurement is precise and the price is reasonable. Also, the grills are in high quality and the warm-hearted engineers are so helpful. Either the staff or the engineers are concerned with customers. They wore on sleeves covers and made sure there was no dirt left behind after the installation. The engineers did a great job though.The company gives the customers a 5- year guaranteed warranty, which already shown how confident are they about their safety security service.I am highly recommend Safeguard Security to everyone else who are thinking about security service.

came across safeguard security on the internet as i was looking to add additional security to my sliding patio door. the website made measuring and ordering simple, and Gary was most helpful throughout the process. product came made to measure within a 14-day timeframe and i installed the same day. the product when open is concealed behind my vertical blinds and when closed is a excellent visible deterrent to anyone wishing to gain access to my property. we are very happy with our purchase and have recommended this company to my friends and neighbours.

I purchased a door security grill to install at a set of french doors. The product is of very good quality, and fairly straight forward to install for anyone with a reasonable diy skill level. The online ordering process was clear and gives a guide on measuring correctly before ordering. The grill fitted perfectly and operated using one finger to slide as advertised. I opted for the high security lock option, which makes it much harder for a thief to tackle, especially as the lock now faces inward as well as the mechanism being protected more etc, this coupled with a much tougher lock was I feel worth the extra cost. The grill looks good, blends in really well with the doors and doesn't look out of place. Price is very competitive also as others charge a high cost for delivery, this is included in the price.
